From a 1760’s grist mill to a flourishing print works that made civil war uniforms to a thriving artists’ community, the documentary The Holding Company- how lives flow through brick and mortar- is a testament to the dedicated men and women who persevered through economic disasters and personal hardships to build a business and create a community in Garnerville, NY. The film celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Garnerville Holding Company, Inc. which breathed new life into the abandoned textile mill after the Great Depression. The documentary expertly captures the recollections of former textile workers and present owners who give a riveting account of life in a depression- era textile mill and its present day transformation to an arts and industrial center.

This package includes the 12-minute documentary and "The Garnerville Terminal: An Historic Timeline," a booklet version of the historic storyboards which were featured in GAGA’s exceptional exhibition, Garnerworld, on display through February 14th.
