JURIED CALL FOR ARTISANS: Applications are now being accepted from fine artists and artisans for a juried indoor AFFORDABLE fine art and craft show to be held in the 8,000 square foot Dye Works Gallery during the 2011 GAGA Arts Festival. In light of economic conditions, we’ve lowered the price for this year’s Dye Works Bazaar!
Categories of work may include handcrafted textiles, metal, wood, ceramics, jewelry and fine art. The show times are 11am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 30-May 1, 2011.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
Deadline: March 25, 2011
Jury Fee: There is a non-refundable jury fee of $25 for all applicants.
Participation Fee: Those accepted will pay a $125 participation fee, in lieu of gallery commissions.
* Please note, GAGA Members will receive a 10% discount. Please contact Melissa for membership information at gaga@garnervillearts.com.
The Bazaar will be limited to 20- 25 artisans. Each accepted artisan will receive a space roughly 10’ x 20’ in size. Artists must provide their own display, including tables, chairs, etc. Please note -- gallery walls are brick so artists/artisans needing to hang work will need to use masonry nails.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Since 2001, GAGA has presented an annual two-day Arts Festival, attracting thousands of adults (including seniors) and children from the local and tri-state areas to educate, enrich and inform the public about innovative, cutting-edge art forms, including, among other media, film/video, installation art, dance and music performance. The Festival features artist open studios and demonstrations that may include painting, glass blowing, bead-making, and ceramics as well as a Craft Bazaar, a student art.

All work must be handcrafted. All media considered. Commercial kits, molds, patterns, pre-fabricated forms and imported goods are not eligible.
All work must be for sale. Artists must be in attendance during exhibition times: Saturday and Sunday, April 30th- May 1st 11:00am- 6:00pm.
All applicants are asked to send the completed application, to the address below, along with:

❏ 3 images of your work (no slides)

Deadline for submission: March 25, 2011. Notification of successful applicants will be made by March 31, 2011.
